AIDS

For comparison. Another problem that has to be blown out of all proportion in order to feed an Industrial-Medical complex. Also see AIDS.

AIDS and the Ecology of Poverty by Eileen Stillwaggon (2005) -- Poverty and malnutrition as prime factors in Third-World AIDS

AIDS Cult, The by John Lauritsen and Ian Young (Eds.) (1997) -- Role of physchological, social, and cultural factors

AIDS War, The by John Lauritsen (1993) -- The subtitle: "Propaganda, Profiteering and Genocide from the Medical-Industrial Complex" says it all.

Get All the Facts: HIV Does Not Cause AIDS by Mohammed Ali Al-Bayati (2002) -- Investigation and indictment of the effects of toxic antiviral drugs by a California-based pathologist, toxicologist, and AIDS dissident.

Infectious AIDS by Peter H. Duesberg (1995) -- A collection of thirteen articles originally published in scientific journals that call into question the dogma of infectious AIDS.

Inventing the AIDS Virus by Peter H. Duesberg (1996) -- A comprehensive case, presented by perhaps the most qualified and persistent challenger of the mainstream HIV theory of AIDS.

Myth of Heterosexual AIDS, The by Michael Fumento (1993) -- Dismisses the claim that was being repeated everywhere at the time of the book's publication that AIDS had "broken out" into the heterosexual population -- or that it ever would.

Oncogenes, Aneuploidy and AIDS by Harvey Bialy (2004) -- "A scientific life and times of Peter H. Duesberg." Harvey Bialy, himself a biochemist, interweaves the story of Duesberg's personal experiences with a broader view of how politics, money, vested interests, and an over-reliance by much of today's research establishment on sophisticated but inadequately understood technology in place of deep thinking misdirects the world into wasting decades of effort and billions of dollars in the futile pursuit of flawed theories. The book describes Duesberg's earlier groundbreaking work in exploring and later rejecting the case for a viral cause of cancer, his devastating critique of the HIV theory of AIDS, which brought about his defunding and virtual excommunication from the approved biochemical research community as a non-person, and his more recent, equally explosive, questioning--in conjunction with a team in Germany--of the mainstream theory of gene mutations as the cause of cancer. A revelation for those interested in seeing the other side of what the mainline media presents as science, as well as the fascinating tale--a scientific education in itself--of a meticulous and clear-sighted thinker who remains committed to the standards and integrity of science at its best.

Origin, Persistence and Failings of HIV/AIDS Theory, The by Henry H. Bauer (2007) -- Irreconcilability of commonly held assumptions with the published data.

Poison By Prescription by John Lauritsen (1990) -- The AZT story

Positively False: Exposing the Myths Around HIV and AIDS by Joan Shenton (1998) -- Shows the HIV=AIDS=Death dogma which has wrongly acquired the force of certainty to be riddled with flaws.

Rethinking AIDS by Robert Root Bernstein (1993) -- A critical reappraisal of AIDS research that shatters conventionally unquestioned assumptions and reopens the fundamental questions of what is really known.

Science Sold Out: Does HIV Really Cause AIDS? by Rebecca V. Culshaw (2007) -- A mathematician's reasons for changing her position and quitting AIDS research

Serious Adverse Events: An Uncensored History of AIDS by Celia Farber (2006) -- Twenty years of reporting by a skeptical AIDS journalist

What If Everything You Thought. by Christine Maggiore (2002) -- A powerful deconstruction of the popular AIDS myths.

So it's true. Psychiatric practice can be carried out without poisoning and clubbing.

"From a doctor friend:

The Cockroach Catcher has evoked many images, memories, emotions from my own family circumstances and clinical experience.

Your pragmatic approach to problem solving and treatment plans is commendable in the era of micro-managed NHS and education system. I must admit that I learn a great deal about the running of NHS psychiatric services and the school system.

Objectively, a reader outside of the UK would find some chapters in the book intriguing because a lot of space was devoted to explaining the jargons (statementing, section, grammar schools) and the NHS administrative systems. Of course, your need to clarify the peculiar UK background of your clinical practice is understandable.

Your sensitivity and constant reference to the feelings, background and learning curves of your sub-ordinates and other members of the team are rare attributes of psychiatric bosses, whom I usually found lacking in affect! If more medical students have access to your book, I'm sure many more will choose psychiatry as a career. The Cockroach Catcher promotes the human side of clinical psychiatric practice in simple language that an outsider can appreciate. An extremely outstanding piece of work indeed." http://cockroachcatcher.blogspot.com/

Criminal justice, mental health and the politics of risk

Included here mainly due to the discovery of this revealing paragraph.

"Chapter 7: Risky Money: regulating Financial Crime

7.6 GENERAL COMMENTS ON FRAUD SURVEYS AND RISKS

There are many areas that I have not touched upon here. There seems
little reason to suspect that medical fraud in the UK
is anything approaching
the magnitude in the US. My scepticism is not based solely on cultural
factors, but arises because most UK operations and prescriptions do not
involve any significant cash payments and there is still relatively little scope
for manipulation (outside matters such as exchange of cash for the
improperly rapid advancement of private patients' places in queues for
publicly funded operations). Nor, given modest awards for personal injury
in the UK, are insurance frauds likely to reach American levels, with
accusations of widespread conspiracies between doctors, lawyers and gangs
arranging artificial crashes costing millions of dollars. On the other hand,
privatisation of health care can generate the risk of over-billing and
other massive scams." p.143

Emphasis added.

With it's naivety, the comment is revealing in light of the nature of global Health Fraud as practised by the same systems that claim to be "fighting health fraud". Why this simple deception remains a mystery is possibly because of it's criminal nature. The Mafia use a similar tactic.

"The best-known is the protection racket, in which criminals demand money from businesses in exchange for the service of "protection" against crimes that the racketeers themselves instigate if unpaid (see extortion)."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racket_%28crime%29

The mainstream health system in this country is a racket. They demand money from the government (NHS) to protect you from disease. If they don't get that money then their treatments are there to cause diseases. Of course they cause diseases anyway in order to spread their racket - much like the crime commited by the Mafia racketeers in the process of demanding money to "protect" you from crime. Of course the forceful demand of that money IS the crime.

A Paradise Built in Hell - The Extraordinary Communities that Arise in Disaster

A
Paradise Built in Hell - The Extraordinary Communities that Arise in Disaster,
Rebecca Solnit
, 2009. Does not mention the Mental Health situation directly
but the parallels are striking. Just as elite power often panics in the face
of a disaster and assumes that people will act out their worst instincts, the
same can happen in a personal disaster. The sufferer can have the fears of other
people thrown at them. The "treatment" can become an acting out of the worst
case scenario as if to prove that "mental illness" is dangerous and deserves
extreme treatments. The parallel to the Katrina New Orleans hurricane disaster
is striking. In that event the media and part of government projected their
worst fears and often images of themselves on to the hurricane survivors. Keeping
back help and refusing to let them leave the area because of "violence" and
"looting".

Violence and looting ? Far from it. As in the many disasters that Solnit examines people behave with extraordinary help and kindness. Spontaneously organising to help each other. Most of the acts of violence are carried out by the government that is supposed to be there to help. There is often a criminal element but that is always a minority of people in a disaster, not the majority who behave well.

Sound familiar ? Government often have vested interests to make it seem like people cannot help themselves and that people having their own private disaster need to be controlled and locked up in case they become "a danger to themselves or others". Often there is little proof for these accusations.

There is much evidence presented in this book that society is capable of dealing with all sorts of problems, national disaster or the personal disaster of emotional trauma or family breakdown. Governments and official agencies can be helpful but they need to be well informed which is one of the aims of Solnit's book.

Are you a target for elimination: an inside look at the AMA conspiracy against chiropractic and the wholistic healing arts

Are you a target for elimination: an inside look at the AMA conspiracy against chiropractic and the wholistic healing arts

USA, International Institute of Natural Health Sciences, Inc. 1984. (ISBN: 0866640509)

"For years the American Medical Association has conducted a war against those in the field of wholistic healing. The common denominator has been practitioners and professions that do not employ pharmaceuticals in their practice. The drugless arts have been targeted by the AMA for extinction. This book is about one of those professions - chiropractic."

"One of the most effective and well researched books which came out in the
early 1990s was written by researcher and activist P. J. Lisa and called Are
You a Target for Elimination? Like myself, Lisa had joined up with a group which
had come under attack - in his case a company which produced herbs. His first
book began to describe the attacks which were taking place out of public view.
In Are you a Target, Lisa focused on the continuing attempts by quackbusters
to destroy chiropractors. This book was followed up in 1988 with a more complete
analysis in The Great Medical Monopoly Wars. Both these books by Lisa and his
more recent ones, bear all the hallmarks of good investigative writing and critical
scholarship in this difficult area. In them he begins to define the Health Fraud
movement in America, to give body to its motivation and to root out and to expose
its funding. It is principally due to Lisa that we are able to say that pharmaceutical
companies bankrolled the health fraud movement in America."---- A Bibliographic

Vaknin bluntly tells us what most victims of abuse suspect but are often too
ashamed to even think to themselves. His writing is like opening a toolbox after
searching unfruitfullly for a simple screwdriver. All of a sudden he almost
thrusts mutli-tools into your hands and demands that you use them. His works
strongly challenge the assumption that the abused are "damaged" and cannot successfully
take control of their own lives.

The Great Medical Monopoly Wars a book by P.J. LISA

The Great Medical Monopoly Wars a book by P.J. LISA

Based on actual documents from inside the FDA and medical / pharmaceutical files. The author started on a journey in 1968 which led him to discover that there was an organized plan and effort on the part of several organizations, both private and governmental, to destroy the American free-enterprise system in the health care field. What American medicine represented then, and now, is nothing more than a monopoly. A totalitarian state of medicine where you do things their way or no way at all.

The Conscious Universe - Dean Radin

The Conscious Universe

Quote:
A more elaborate answer is, psi has been shown to exist in thousands of experiments. There are disagreements over to how to interpret the evidence, but the fact is that virtually all scientists who have studied the evidence, including the hard-nosed skeptics, now agree that there is something interesting going on that merits serious scientific attention.

The War Against the Weak - The War Against the Weak - Eugenics and America's

The
War Against the Weak - Eugenics and America's Campaign to Create a Master Race,
Edwin Black, 2003
An in depth historical study of Eugenics. Black writes
in tones intended to leave behind the controversy and expose the facts of this
history. He is helped by a large team of researchers who scoured international
archives. The result is astounding, exposing a history of the abuse and sterilisation
of large numbers of people deemed to be "unfit" in America and Britain as well
as other countries, well before and after World War Two.

The conclusion is obvious. Eugenics never went away, it just reinvented it's self under other names. Mental Health, or other "care". Genetics. There is still an element that regard those showing signs of "weakness" to be unworthy of a normal life. This is justified using distorted theories of "Social Darwinism" (Darwin abhorred suffering and the mistreatment of people) and political correct terms that attempt to hide the truth. That has failed. Because of people like Black we have works we can refer to like this one where we can confirm our suspicions, face the truth and then take action.

Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity - ADHD (Video)

Watch at TED.

Quote:
Why don't we get the best out of people? Sir Ken Robinson
argues that it's because we've been educated to become good workers, rather
than creative thinkers. Students with restless minds and bodies, far from being
cultivated for their energy and curiosity, are ignored or even stigmatized,
with terrible consequences ADHD. "We are educating people out of their creativity,"
Robinson says. It's a message with deep resonance. Robinson's TEDTalk has been
distributed widely around the Web since its release in June 2006. The most popular
words framing blog posts on his talk? "Everyone should watch this." A TED talk.
TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in
1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology,
Entertainment, Design. About this talk.

Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity.

About Sir Ken Robinson

The Lessons of Wartime Interrogation Techniques to the Peacetime Treatment of Psychiatric Illness - BBC Radio 4 Series (Audio)

Quote: The Royal Institution in Central London, the highly respected home of
learned Scientific research. On the 26th of February 1960 a controversial lecture
was delivered from this building. It was given by Alexander Kennedy, Professor
of Psychological Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and, initially, sounded
innocent enough. Entitled The Scientific Lessons of Interrogation, the
lectures stated aim was to apply the lessons of wartime interrogation techniques
to the peace time treatment of psychiatric illness.

I have obtained the lecture referenced in this broadcast
after tracking it down to a particular journal (this wasn't easy you know!)
... here is a scan from the journal - The
Scientific Lessons of Interrogation
.

Why this episode of Document was braodcast at all remains a mystery to me.
Was it meant to show that the establishment was shocked that torture was being
used as an interrogation technique in the Second World War ? Anyone familiar
with the nature of all wars might find the surprise to be niave.

Why was it's use on Psychiatric patients not declaimed as equally shocking
? Instead the episode states that the aim "to apply the lessons of wartime
interrogation techniques to the peace time treatment of psychiatric illness"
is "innocent enough". Why ? Torturing and interrogating Psychiatric
patients would be as equally shocking as the mistreatment of anyone else.

The document and this episode appear to reveal a very disturbing pattern on
multiple levels.

1. A shocking desire to ignore any mistreatment of Psychaitric patients.

2. A tacit admission that Psychiatric patients are subjected to complex and
proven behaviour modification that far from "helping" them warps and
breaks the personality.

Some people might assume that the Professor was using his research to "help"
patients in some way ("seems innocent enough"). All this broadcast does is reveal
how Psychiatry uses hypnosis and brain washing techniques to break down the
personality of the individual in the name of "help".

Mike Thomson presents the series using documentary evidence to throw new light
on past events. Mike tracks down formerly secret reports from MI5 that describe
how brainwashing techniques were being used inside British intelligence bases
in North Africa during the Second World War. There, prisoners were exposed to
truth drugs and other methods that shocked even a senior agent who went on to
head the secret service. Allegations appeared in the press in 1960 and questions
were asked in parliament. The claims were denied by then prime minister Harold
Macmillan, but Document has evidence that he misled the country.

This information appears to reveal the British version of the same plans that
the American intelligence agencies and military have been following themselves.
