XWindows Desktop Background Artwork Arranger / Blender

This uses the X Windows "root" window (your desktop background) to provide an area where images and artwork can be loaded, dragged around and blended together by changing the transparency of the image. This is obtained by loading a browser window - Firefox - as the root window and then using Javascript to allow dragging of images. A Cookie file saves the settings (positions of the images, transparency).

Some Window Managers and Desktop environments cover the real root window. For example in LXDE on Debian you have to edit "autostart" in "/etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE" to stop pcmanfm loading over the root window.
